ATV ENFORCEMENT- The operation of all terrain vehicles on roadways is illegal. The department receives many complaints about this during the spring and summer. The department will aggressively enforce these laws with zero tolerance for violations. Please recognize that fleeing from a police officer attempting to stop you for a violation is a very serious offense. It can be graded at a felony. The department has recently charged several people with the felony Fleeing and Eluding Police for attempting to flee on ATV's. Parents please consider this when allowing your teenager to ride on roadways. The department will have zero tolerance in the enforcement of these laws.
